We’re now 6 weeks into the new year. Are you on track to achieve your goals this year? Are you keeping your New Year’s Resolutions?

If not, why not?

If we’re going to achieve the goals we set, then we have to take them seriously.

The first step is to write them down. If you don’t write your goals down, then they’re just wishes. If you really want them, write them down.

The second step is to get started working to achieve them.

The next step is to measure your progress on a consistent basis. You can’t wait until the end of the year to look back and see what you’ve accomplished. By then, it’s too late.

My personal preference is to review my goals and my progress on a weekly basis.

First, I stay focused and never forget what I’m working towards.

Second, I know where I stand all the time.

Third, if I look back at the prior week and discover (to my horror) that I’ve done nothing to move me closer to my goals, I can quickly adjust.

Just imagine what would happen if I was off track and didn’t know it for a month or two. What a waste of time and energy that could be.

If you put a similar system into place, I can promise that you will see your measurable progress improve.

Write down your goals. Then, get started making them happen.

Do it today.

Yours in success,

Shawn
