YouTube is one of the top websites ever, according to Alexa.  It can be a bit tricky getting traffic to your website from there, though.  How you can make this work depends not just on what you do with your YouTube account but also what you do away from it.

Drive Traffic to Your YouTube Videos

One way you can really set yourself apart from other YouTube marketers is to drive traffic to your videos from other websites.  These days, fewer social media sites can stand alone as ways to draw people to your site.  You should have a social media campaign working to support your YouTube videos.

Let’s say that you have your videos up, and they’re not getting nearly enough hits.  Let’s say also that you have huge lists on Facebook and Twitter.  By posting links to these videos on Facebook and Twitter (and anywhere else you have a successful social media campaign going), you can dramatically increase the number of hits to your videos.  More hits means that more people will go to your website to find out more about what your videos are talking about.

YouTube Has the Traffic, Now the Website Links

There is a delicate balance between how much information you can put in your info box to get your videos found versus having your website links visible.  Let’s rule out the possibility that someone is going to click on the “more info” button.  This means Read More→

Essential Listbuilding Techniques

Posted by: Shawn Casey | Comments (0)

As you may have figured out by now, you can’t just put an opt-in on your page and expect to get a list.  You have to beef up your website with SEO or promote offsite on social networks.  You have to provide incentives for people to fill out the form.  You also have to prevent them from leaving the page without opting in.  Here are some ways you can do that.

Using Search Engine Optimization to Bring ‘Em In

Still to this day, search engine optimization is an essential part of Web page promotion.  There are a number of things you can do on the website to get it to rank better on the search engines.  Keyword placement, ease of navigation, and quality content are essential parts of onsite SEO.

More and more, what you do offsite is more important than what you do onsite.  Offsite SEO is where you should work the hardest to bring people in.  Posting links on social media sites, article directories, and forums are all standard parts of offsite SEO.  Using each of these media demands its own post, but the essential element is that you shouldn’t “just” post your links.  You have to build trust by interacting with people and posting things other than your links.

They’re Here; Now Make Them Opt-In

Getting people to fill out the opt-in form is the hardest part.  It’s like the old adage, “You can lead a horse to water, but Read More→

Trying to get spotted on the search engines is getting more and more difficult these days.  This is especially true if you’re running multiple affiliate marketing campaigns.  That’s where social media sites like Facebook can pick up the slack.

When Making Friends is Listbuilding

Listbuilding is a snap on social media sites.  All you have to do is make friends.  Facebook has an upper cap on how many friends and fans you can have.  For the most part, you’ll never have to worry about it, but if you do reach the limit, just set up another account and try not to overlap the friends’ list too much.

With that said, it doesn’t take very long to build a decent friends’ list on Facebook.  The more you “friend” people, the more their friends will “friend” you.  Once you think you’re at a good starting place, start posting messages.

You don’t want to start right off posting links, and Read More→

I’ve said it before, but sometimes it’s good to go back to the basics.  When you set up your marketing campaign for getting traffic to your website, you should emphasize on targeted traffic.  This is especially true if you’re using Pay-Per-Click advertising or Google’s AdWords.

Without targeted traffic visiting your site, one of two things can happen.  If you’re not using PPC or AdWords, you’re just getting a lot of window shoppers.  This may not seem like a very big deal, but it sucks up your bandwidth and may make your site harder to load.  If you’re using PPC or AdWords, it can cost you money and even leave you in the red.

Keywords Are Your Friend in Targeting Traffic

Keywords can also be your enemy when targeting traffic.  You have to pick the right keywords.  Usually, the best way to do this is to use more long-tailed keywords.  There is a bit of a trick to doing this, though.

Let’s start with a central word that describes what your desired traffic is looking for.  As an example, Read More→

My friend Ed Dale is Australian, crazy and rich.

Not necessarily in that order.

One of the key methods he used to amass all the cash was actually quite simple:

Buying and selling websites for outrageous profits.

He’s not only done this himself, but he’s helped a few students to duplicate (and, in some cases, surpass) his success.

On Tuesday, Ed has agreed to let me grill him live and go step-by-step through exactly how anyone can do this starting with no experience (and little capital).

Ed says that web sites are available for peanuts at the moment so this is the perfect time to get started!

On Tuesday, Ed’s going to reveal:

- how people are buying sites for pennies on the dollar, doing a “refurb” on them and selling them for many times what they paid in as little as four weeks!

- the inside story behind how 7 of his students that have sold their sites for a million dollars or more!

- how to buy a PR8 site for $300 bucks

- the simple steps to buy a site that brings in $20,000 a year for only $12,000!

- Different ways to buy sites for “No Money Down” just like you can do in real estate!

- The ONE THING that people selling sites completely miss… you’ll start giggling when you realize how much money people are leaving on the table…

- plus much, much more.

I’ll grill Ed for 75 minutes on Tuesday And you can be there absolutely FREE!

Have you ever wondered when you see some crazy domain name like scholarships-ar-us.org, why someone would pay $1,000 for such a domain?

In the April Issue of Business 2.0, you can read the story about how Daniel Kovach has done very well with this domain that’s hard to remember and no one is ever going to into a browser.

Here’s his explanation from the magazine:

“The domain’s appeal – and the reason Kovach paid $1,000 for it – was that residual links pushed it high in Google search results.”

Whoa!

Stop the presses.

Some guy forked over a grand just because of the value of the residual links? And he’s happy about it?

And getting interviewed by a highly respected business magazine?

How long have I been telling you that you need to pay attention to the incredible value represented by existing domains… and how to basically steal expiring domains for way less than fair market value?

Get the wax out of your ears!

This domain stuff is for real. Get over to this site and get in the game NOW!

WEIRD!

Yours in success,

Shawn Casey
