How to Cheaply Embed Video on Your Affiliate Marketing Page
ByThere must be about a gazillion ways to embed video on your affiliate marketing page. What I like about this one is that you can use some lesser known features of YouTube.com to make this happen. Did you know you can actually take the YouTube logo off of the videos you upload to their website? That’s just a part of this process. It’s kind of sneakier than just using Amazon S3 to upload your videos. Maybe that’s why I like it so much.
There’s a Nifty Exploit on YouTube
Okay, first you upload your video to YouTube.com. Now here’s the part where you get rid of the YouTube logo. First, you login to YouTube, and go to the Tools and wizard to create what they call tweeze pages. In order to grab the imbedded code, you open up the wizard and go down to the video section and put in the URL seen in the YouTube video. Then it will create a flash file of your YouTube video, this time, without the YouTube branding. Nifty, huh?
You now have an unbranded, high-definition video that you can paste to your front page…as long as the link you provide is to this last URL, not the one you started with. Otherwise, you’ll be using the YouTube branded video on your site, which doesn’t look quite so good.
An Example Using Lead Page Generator
In this example, I will be using a specific format, but it should work for whatever web page generator you use in one way or another. In this example, I will be using the tool known as “Lead Page Generator.” The first thing you do is click on “create a new page.” About 12 different templates will pop up for you to choose from. Select one with embedded video on the template. Then you drop to the section where the embedded video goes, and select custom player from YouTube. Select it as a high quality playback, and put in the URL of the unbranded video as mentioned above. Then you cut the source quote code and put it on your html page, and there you go. Complete your web page as you would otherwise have it and viola! You have a web page with video!
In Short, This is Free Video Imbedding
So, yes, this video imbedding requires a little bit of work and ingenuity. Is it worth it? Well, it kind of depends on if free is worth it to you. This is really great if you don’t have the money or a particular interest in buying a video uploader to put a video directly on your website. That, or if you like to feel like you’re being sneaky on occasion and want to pull one over on some website or another. Of course, since the options are all there on the website, it’s really not illegal, just fun.
Not only is it fun, but it’s an effective way to get high-definition videos loaded up on the Internet and put to use on your website. Who wouldn’t want that?
