Successful businesses have a system

Your obvious response is “Of course, they do!” But, most small business owners don’t have a system, and many aren’t trying to develop one.

The percentage of success for franchise owners is very high. Why? Because they have a proven system to follow. No guesswork. No “reinventing the wheel” every day. If they follow the system, the end result is almost guaranteed.

Yes, most people starting a business run helter-skelter as if they have no plan at all. Do they succeed? No. The only chance they have at success is if they hit the lottery.

As I try to explain in my book, Mining Gold On the Internet: A Step-by-step Guide to Quick Cash Flow Online, you don’t need to start with a complicated plan. Start simple.

If you want to sell diapers, then create a website that does a good job selling diapers. Measure the results of visitors to your website.

If 2% of first time visitors buy diapers and you make a $20 average profit on each sale, then you are making 40 cents for each new visitor. How much can you afford to invest to get more new visitors? Obviously, anything less than 40 cents.

Your plan is simple. Step 1 is to develop a site that does a good job selling diapers. Step 2 is to get traffic free or buy it for less than 40 cents per visitor.

The really profitable part is Step 3 – inviting your buyers to return and buy more diapers or other items related to babies.

You don’t need a more complicated plan than this . . . if you actually fulfill the pieces of the plan.

Create a simple and profitable system. Follow the system. Enjoy life. Good plan, huh?
